The mast action campaign in Clondalkin has announced that there campaign will meet Minister for Health Mary Harney in mid September. The campaign has been lobbying to meet the Minster since the beginning of June, when Mastaction Clondalkin (MAC) was set up.

In a statement MAC said, ” We are happy that the HSE has recognized our campaign and our concerns in relation to the phone masts and electrical pylons in our area. We will be giving the preliminary health survey findings that we have conducted in the area to the Dept of Health, to ask them to fully investigate our concerns on this matter.

Mastaction Clondalkin will be asking, the HSE to conduct their own study in relation to health concerns in the North Clondalkin area. We want the Minister to investigate the detrimental effects regarding people’s health living or in close proximity to a phone mast or electrical pylon in the north Clondalkin area “
